As I write this it’s 7:01 AM on Thanksgiving Day. And as I’m sure millions of other bloggers are doing today or scheduled to have done today, I want to write about being thankful.
For the last several days I have been thinking of unique ways to put a spin on Thanksgiving.
I decided I’m not going to do that.
What I’m going to do is stress the point that being thankful is part of living A Life Not Wasted!
Because when you finally open your eyes one day, as I have done, and you realize that you’ve been wasting some, most, or all of your life you instantly become thankful for that revelation.
Yeah, it sucks that you have been wasting your life. Yeah, you can never get that time back.
But without that revelation you’d continue to waste your life. You’d continue to keep letting life dictate to you how you’re living it.
Once that revelation has been made, though, you begin to take more control of your life. You begin to live intentionally. You realize that you are more responsible for your life than you had ever realized before.
And for some of you who are still stuck wasting your life and you haven’t made the discovery yet. And you’re sitting there flipping me off and yelling at your computer screen about how I don’t understand and I’m stupid…
For you I say, “You still have something to be thankful for! Because you know what?! If you’re reading this, that means you’re still breathing, you’re still alive, you still have time to realize and make the changes necessary so that you, too, can live A Life Not Wasted!”
I’ve been to some low points where breathing is what I was thankful for at that time. I know what that feels like.
I also know what it feels like to realize I’ve been wasting my life and I don’t like it. So I did something about it!
If I can help you in anyway make the same decision, please let me know.
